What is a BIN Number?
A Bank Identification Number (BIN), also known as Issuer Identification Number (IIN), is the first 6-8 digits of a credit or debit card number. This number is used to identify the card issuing institution, card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), card type (credit, debit, prepaid), and the country where the card was issued.
